Benefits of PROP for the buyer

All PROP buyers will purchase homes at reasonable prices based on an "as-is" appraisal. Upon completing work, buyers could receive up to 50% of the purchase price in credits. PROP encourages rehabilitation and energy improvements that will increase the value of the property. At any time during the term of the land contract, after all repairs and improvements are completed, the buyer can refinance the property through a mortgage lender of their choice. The buyer can also use the term of the land contract to repair credit, build equity and enjoy affordable living in a quality home that will have low utility costs.
